Library Upgrade to a Flexible Learning Center
“Spaces that are flexible, accommodating different approaches and uses, improve the odds for effective learning” (Oblinger, 2006)
A DHHS flexible learning center will provide our students with a variety of educational experiences that cater to their individual needs and learning styles. This can lead to greater engagement and motivation and improved academic performance. Additionally, a flexible learning center can also accommodate new and innovative teaching methods, making the educational experience more dynamic and relevant to the modern world. By offering a range of resources and opportunities, a flexible learning center will help students to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
As a DHHS community, we are embarking on this exciting project that will significantly benefit our students. However, to make it a reality, we need your support. Unfortunately, the $150,000 required for upgrading our library is not available to us from the state of California. As such, the Dolphin Foundation has stepped in to assist us in raising the money for this new space for our students.
